Bringing Electric Mobility on the road

Bringing Electric Mobility on the roadspecial solutions in practice

19th November 2014, 9:00 – 12:30 in the premises of the URBAN FUTURE CONFERENCE, Stadthalle Graz, Austria

The electric engine is among the oldest motive powers. Whereas electric mobility unbrokenly dominates the rail markets, on the roads it has yet succeed in small and secluded applications only. All across Europe, excellent pilot activities of e-mobility applications exist. Over the last years, 3 of these pilots have joined forces in the project “ICT4EVEU” – co-funded by the European Commission – striving to accelerate a pan-European large scale roll-out of e-mobility. The project focuses on important and specific practical aspects of e-mobility such as roaming, billing and reservation, exchange of information between charging points, ICT-based user support and charging point interoperability.

The speakers are experts from different areas (producers, operators and administration), which are all interested in bringing e-mobility on the roads. The workshop shall make possible an exchange of different viewpoints within the topics of the project, allowing for the identification of barriers and drivers of e-mobility. The short introductory speeches will be followed by moderated panel discussions, giving the audience the opportunity to interact and exchange actively with the speakers and the project team. Jointly solutions can be drafted. The results of the discussions will be taken into the project’s set of recommendations that will be elaborated in the beginning of 2015.

The workshop is held in English. Attendance is free of charge.
